Barbara P. Bowersock, 94, of Linton, passed away peacefully at 7:25 AM on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at Ketcham Memorial Center in Odon, joining a family who has brightened her days for generations. Born December 28, 1931, in Linton to Thomas and Hazel (Norris) Yates, she lived a life rooted in faith, family, and service.Barbara cherished every moment spent in worship, whether as a devoted Lay Minister in the United Methodist Church, as a member of the Linton Assembly of God Church, or attending services with her daughter at Full Gospel Church in Scotland. She made countless baby quilts, pouring care and comfort into each stitch. Her garden was a living testament to her nurturing spirit - fresh vegetables canned with pride, shared with others.Barbara’s life was defined by cherished family. She is survived by three children, Linda Christine (George) Rollins of Newberry, Brenda (Bill) Rennels of Clinton, and Rick (Deborah) Bowersock of Worthington. The circle of her closest companions included two best friends, Carol Roush and Carol Allen, and a host of nieces and nephews who were all dear to her.She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Amos Bowersock; son, Glenn Bowersock; brother, Adam Yates; and sister Mary Ethel Thompson.Barbara’s legacy lives on in the quiet, steadfast faith she modeled, the handmade keepsakes she gifted to family, and the love she poured into every relationship.A funeral service to celebrate Barbara's life will be held at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton, of Walton Funeral Service, at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, with Reverend Jim Sanders.
